Full Details

The trip starts in historic Kathmandu, with its ancient temples and bustling streets.  You will have a full day here to see the sights and get acclimatised.  The following day you will be driven to Syabrubensi where your trek begins.

The Langtang trek itself lasts for 8 days from when you depart Kathmandu. You will climb gently up to Kyanchen Gompa, deep within the Langtang valley.  We will spend a couple of nights at Kyanchen Gompa to give you time to rest and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere up here in the outer reaches of Nepal. If you are feeling energetic, you can explore the glacier and pastures nearby.  The Buddhist monastery and yak cheese factory are also fascinating.

Trekking in Langtang provides breathtaking views of the Langtang mountain range and much, much more.  Langtang is a National Park, a haven for wildlife such as musk deer, snow leopards, wild boar and many species of birds. The terrain is beautiful too, with lush rhododendron and bamboo forests as well as gentle, open pastureland.  You will visit Ghora Tabela, a fabulous beauty spot, as well as some Sherpa and Tamang villages on the way, giving you the chance to see how people live in this remote and unspoilt part of the world.
